John Clausen CMA, ACIS, Acc. Dir.

John’s varied career includes stints as General Manager Manufacturing Finance for North America, for a major equipment manufacturer in addition to managing global treasury operations and corporate pension plan oversight.  He has accumulated a wealth of experience in business improvement processes, financial management, accounting and corporate restructuring, business financing and refinancing, as well as project finance. This experience was gained working with companies as varied as construction contracting, manufacturing, banking, engineering and for profit education corporations.

His consulting experience has spanned the last 15 years and includes such diverse assignments as arranging project financing in the Middle East and corporate restructuring for a variety of publicly listed companies.  He has advised on financial and business improvement processes and was involved in facilitating the successful restructuring and financing of a TSX listed company.

John’s skills also include SOX 404 compliance and managing the controls, review and implementation process for a Nasdaq listed company, as it relates to their Canadian subsidiary.  He is well qualified to assist Canadian companies to meet new securities regulations requiring CFO/CEO certification of internal controls.

John is also an ACIS (Associate Chartered Institute of Corporate Secretaries), a prominent global organization focusing on higher level corporate administration and governance issues and is a qualified Acc. Dir. (Accredited Director).  The training he has received for these designations allow him to bring current and relevant corporate governance evaluation and administration ideas to your business.  John can also provide advice on your regulatory compliance issues and help your company achieve greater success.  The hands on approach of Clausen and Associates can also provide support in implementing any required changes.
